2026年9月24日（木）、曻地副学長（国際交流担当）が、本学の交流協定校であるチェコ共和国ムラダー・ボレスラフ市のシュコダ・オート大学（ŠKODA AUTO University）を訪問しました。

今回の訪問では、同大学の国際交流担当者と2027年春からの学生交流の進め方や、エラスムス・プラス（Erasmus+）への申請方針について協議しました。また、本学の学生が同大学のMBAプログラムで学ぶ可能性や、日本学術文化センターの設置についても意見を交わしました。

続いて、情報学、経済・法学、財務・会計の各分野の教員と今後の研究者交流について協議しました。共同研究の可能性に加え、研究者の短期・長期派遣を通じた交流の促進や、アグリビジネス分野での共同研究の可能性などについて話し合いました。

同日、両大学は、すでに締結している学生交流協定に続き、研究者交流協定に署名しました。本学は今後、学生・研究者双方の交流を深め、共同研究へとつなげてまいります。

Student and Researcher Exchange with ŠKODA AUTO University in the Czech Republic Moves Forward

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, Professor Takaaki Shochi, Vice President for International Affairs, visited ŠKODA AUTO University, a partner institution of Shimonoseki City University, in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.

During the visit, he met with staff from the university’s International Office to discuss plans for student exchange beginning in spring 2027 and an application strategy for Erasmus+. They also discussed the possibility of Shimonoseki City University students studying in ŠKODA AUTO University’s MBA program and the potential establishment of a Japanese Academic and Cultural Center.

Professor Shochi then met with faculty members in informatics, economics and law, and finance and accounting to discuss future researcher exchange. Their discussions covered opportunities for joint research, short- and long-term researcher visits between the two universities, and potential collaboration in agribusiness research.

On the same day, the two universities signed a researcher exchange agreement, building on their existing student exchange agreement. Shimonoseki City University looks forward to expanding opportunities for students and researchers at both institutions and developing joint research projects.
